just a quick catch-up
Wow, you'd think that both of us must really suck at this blog stuff if we can't come up with any posts for this long! Well, Neil has a good excuse: He's one of the founders/event planners/coordinators for the New York Block Party, and as someone who has been involved in my share of events, I'm fairly certain he's now in a partially comatose "coming down" state from the Block Party. Get some photos up here, Neil!
As for me, since scooters are selling like crazy, so are accessories, and since I design and make accessories, it's been insanely busy around here and the days go by without a post, and sometimes without a ride. I'm totally bummed that I had to miss Scootergate and the Block Party.
I did, however, manage to fit in a little joy ride the other day on the way back from the post office. I always take side roads anyway, but this time I decided to just take some that are bit more rambly than my sorta-straight ride home.
On the way, I stopped by the community college parking lot, where the MSF course is painted on the blacktop. The course has changed this summer, but I found the S/figure 8 curve and rode it (I mean, after all, it's the only place I've ever had to ride in that pattern), and the emergency veer section. The brake-then-turn section had a car parked in it.
I hope everyone is getting some good rides in!
