Starter, starter, whose got the starter?

I spent a couple hours this morning searching through the ModernVespa.com and VespaSpeed.com forums to find out about the ET4's starter. Mine makes an odd noise the first time I push the starter button, so I lay off it for a few seconds, and then push again and it starts right up. Lisa had it fixed at the Vespa Dealer in Dallas, but it seems to still have the same or similar noise. Seems to me I remember something about some ET4 starters having some engagement problems, but I can't for the life of me find any info about it. Anyone out there have a resource or link?
